Overview

FASTBRACES Turbo is the advanced version of the FASTBRACES system, using the same patented triangular bracket design with modified materials and an enhanced treatment protocol to reduce treatment time to as little as 3–6 months. The key feature is the triangular bracket shape with an elevated slot and "elbow" design — this geometry, combined with a single specially-shaped square wire, simultaneously addresses crown and root position from the first day of treatment. Traditional braces level and align the crown first, then upright the root in a second phase; FASTBRACES claims to accomplish both simultaneously, reducing overall treatment duration.

Clinical & technical

Mechanism of action

The elevated slot of the triangular bracket positions the wire further from the tooth surface. This increases interbracket distance and wire flexibility. The square wire engages the bracket's slot geometry to generate both tipping forces (crown movement) and torquing forces (root movement) simultaneously. The bracket "elbows" deliver torque to the root from the beginning of treatment. One wire sequence is used (not the multi-step progressions of conventional fixed appliances), reducing appointment frequency.

Indications & case selection

Mild to moderate crowding and spacing; anterior tooth alignment; adults seeking shorter treatment duration; dentist-provided orthodontics (GPDs can use FASTBRACES with training); cases where a 3–6 month treatment estimate is appropriate.

Contraindications & limitations

Not appropriate for skeletal discrepancies or Class II/III cases requiring tooth movement beyond anterior alignment; evidence base is limited compared to conventional fixed appliances; claims of simultaneous root and crown movement are debated in the orthodontic literature; outcome quality depends heavily on case selection and practitioner skill.
