Overview

Lower Tongue Tamers are the mandibular arch variant of the Tongue Tamers appliance (Tongue Tamers). The design is identical — 80-gauge curved foil mesh bonding base with a lingual bead — but sized and curved for the lower anterior lingual surfaces. Indicated when the tongue thrust involves forward lower arch posturing, or when lower incisor lingual tipping from tongue habit requires interruption. Can be used in combination with the upper Tongue Tamers for bilateral tongue thrust control.
