Radiance Plus is American Orthodontics' top-tier esthetic bracket, each cut and honed from a single crystal of pure grown sapphire — one of the hardest materials in nature (second only to diamond). The monocrystalline structure provides superior optical clarity (proven clearer than both monocrystalline and polycrystalline competitors) and exceptional strength. Torque fracture resistance exceeds polycrystalline ceramic brackets by more than 3×. The patented Quad-Matte base design provides maximum bond strength in the center and a deliberately weaker peripheral bond, enabling predictable debonding without enamel damage.
Conventional twin bracket with elastomeric or SS ligature. The single-crystal structure provides maximum torque resistance — the bracket can transmit torque prescriptions to the tooth without fracturing under forces that would break polycrystalline brackets. The Quad-Matte base (central strong zone + peripheral weaker zone) ensures secure bonding during treatment with clean, controlled debonding.
Adult patients demanding maximum esthetic quality; high visibility anterior teeth; premium practice positioning; cases requiring high torque prescription delivery (torque-intensive cases); adults with deeper overbites where bracket strength is critical.
Higher cost than PCA brackets; conventional ligation (elastomeric ties can yellow over time — staining contrast against ultra-clear bracket may be more visible); debonding still requires care despite the Quad-Matte design.
